Description
These are the Universal Core Vocabulary developed by the Center for Literacy and Disability Studies in Chapel Hill North Carolina. These blocks are designed to help non-verbal or children learning words to be able to communicate using signs and blocks. They are designed with Braille codes on the top and a carved sighted word on the side.
Each block is color coded and designed per the standard found here: http://www.project-core.com/3d-symbols/
The blocks are multicolored to highlight the words and the symbols on the top. These blocks can be useful in communication. We print out the guide on how to use them from the website listed above.
There are 36 total blocks in each set. The size of the blocks depend on the design but are about 2 inches wide by 1 1/2 inches tall and 1 and 1/2 inches long (5 cm wide, 3.8 cm tall, 3.8cm long).
The blocks are 3D printed using ABS plastic (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene.)
