From the brand
How did we get our start?
In 2015, we were volunteering at an engineering outreach event for the Society of Women Engineers hoping to get local high school girls interested in engineering. We decided to make one of our breakout sessions a soldering workshop. The kits we had purchased for the event used low quality PCBs. This led to a lot of frustration. We hadn’t succeeded in sharing the joy we found in engineering.
What makes our products unique?
We designed our own kit using quality, high temp boards and making the kits simple enough to fit into a 30 minutes to one hour lesson plan.
LEARN TO SOLDER KITS
INTERACTIVE RGB LED KITS – Teach your students to solder in a unique, engaging, fun, and achievable way! The Hue Learn to Solder practice kit comes in packs of 8 solder project kits that are designed for beginners, but slightly more difficult than the Blink Kit. Once assembled, turn the knobs to control the brightness of the red, green, and blue values as they change in the LED. Try different combinations to make any color in the rainbow!

It gives beginners plenty of opportunity to practice and perfect their soldering skills without being overwhelmed. The kit takes about 30 minutes to 1 hour to complete as a class based on how much theory is covered and the age of the students. Perfect for college students, introductory courses, curious teens, STEM classes, afterschool programs (robotics), and more
